We are Juan Lorenzo and Conchi, father and daughter united by a common project. In our restaurant in La Romana, Alicante, we reflect the teachings of our grandparents: The value of attention and the comfort of feeling at home.

We like our work, so we want to convey this vocation for detail to each customer who visits us, creating a welcoming and intimate environment.

My earliest childhood memories take place inside a kitchen, watching my grandmother enjoy cooking for her loved ones. It was thanks to her that I discovered my vocation. After years of experience dedicating myself to traditional cuisine, I was looking to evolve, I wanted to create a place where customers could live a complete experience in every sense. And thanks to my professional career and Conchi’s knowledge, El Mirador was born.

It is in this family restaurant that respect for tradition comes together without renouncing gastronomic evolution. My job in it isn’t to cook, it’s to make the people who visit us and try our dishes happy.

I studied cooking with the intention of developing my great vocation; since from a very young age I grew up on the stove, so I could not imagine a future other than in a kitchen.

For me, El Mirador is the reward of years of effort and dedication, it is a reflection of the land that has seen us grow and the heritage that has given us the foundations. Our dishes breathe the tradition of the area and the gastronomic innovation that gives us that unique identity of El Mirador.

With each of our dishes, we seek to make our customers feel in every bite the quality and care with which we do things. Our reward, the happiness they transmit after each meal. I have been fortunate to dedicate myself to what I always wanted to be, and for that reason I feel very fortunate.

At El Mirador we believe in the value of tradition, which is why we preserve the food of former farmers, but with a creative touch. After years of experience improving our recipe, we have managed to make a fine gachamica, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, which makes it one of our star dishes.
